Col Du Peuch - Cycling, yoga, motorsports and corporate retreats

We have put together a retreat based on our love of cycling. We are located in a fantastic part of France which has now become our second home. The riding around here at Col is some of the best you will come across, the roads are long and winding, which will put a smile on any cyclists face.

At COL we want you to feel comfortable within your riding group, this is why we have not only one guide but a group of us, so no matter your ability whether it’s wanting a relaxed scenic 30km ride or a fast 120km we will have it covered. This is a no pressure retreat, we want you to have fun, make new friends and go home with some fantastic memories.

We also understand that as much as we all love cycling, that this is also a holiday, which is why we can offer other activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, wine tasting, or visiting local attractions.

FACILITIES&ACTIVITIES

STRETCH CLINIC AND MASSAGE

At COL retreats we are focused on running cycling specific stretch clinics and massage sessions. They will form an integral element of your recovery and enable you to get back into your seat feeling refreshed and invigorated.

LACTATE THRESHOLD TESTING

During the retreat you will be given a detailed lactate threshold assessment. From the data collected we will plot your training zones/recovery rates relating to heart rate and power (watts), Maximal Lactate Steady State point and your threshold point.

The results gained from this test will enable you to train smarter, and perform optimally in any situation.

GYM AND SWIMMING POOL

The gym at Col Du Peuch has been designed to enable us to teach you a program of functional exercises to improve your performance. The equipment is the highest standard and most up to date functional training kit available. It will cater for all your needs and enable you to continue your performance journey if you wish.

Our swimming pool is there place to relax and unwind in calm and peaceful atmosphere. Open for you to use at anytime.

OTHER ACTIVITIES OFFERED

As well as the above we can also include, kayaking, fell running, SUP boarding, yoga, tennis, golf, mountain biking, natural swimming (lake)

FOOD

You will benefit from a private chef and host providing exceptional international and local cuisine throughout your stay.

We will provide you nutritional snacks and juices through the day. Lunch and dinners are lovingly prepared by our fantastic in house chefs, who have huge knowledge on what foods help fuel and invigorate your body.

If anyone in your party has any dietary requirements please advise once you have booked and we will be happy to accommodate.

ACCOMMODATION

Clos du Peuch is set in the grounds of Chateau du Peuch and has recently been completely renovated with great care to preserve the original features. Clos du Peuch offers luxury accommodation in the heart of the Dordogne.

From the front door, you arrive into a generous entrance hall leading to a lovely spacious sitting room with a magnificent grand stone fireplace. Set back from the living area is a large open planned kitchen/dinning room area, which has direct access to the raised undercover terrace overlooking the stunning valley.

Each of the 5 bedrooms (4 x twin 1 X double) has its own en-suite. Tastefully decorated and spacious. All rooms feature, air-conditioning and wifi, egyptian cotton sheets (which you will not want to leave), towels and hairdryers, cotton bathrobes and complementary shampoo, conditioner etc
